Leeds & Reading

I couldn't resist saying something about this. As anyone English will know, this weekend was the annual Leeds & Reading festival. Always one of the best of the festival season in the UK. How I wish I could have gone this year. But alas, due to a lack of money at the time tickets were released, I could not go.

However,  the BBC did manage to provide quite good coverage of the festival. Not on television of course, they only really showed the headliners, some of which were good, others not so good. Fingers pointing at Blink 182 here.

One of my favourite performances from the festival has to be Band Of Horses. On the back of their third album, they gave a brilliant set. Link is above. Give it a watch and see what you think.

Many other brilliant artists performed. The reformation of the Libertines was a spectacle to behold. Queens of the Stone Age were on top form as usual. Josh Homme never disappoints. And of course the newly blonde Simon Neil of the fantastic Biffy Clyro. The list is too long to name all of the good bands.

Have a look yourself!

A Fleeting Thought

The sun is shining. The weather is warm. And I'm sat outside listening to Fleet Foxes, having a cup of tea. It's been over two years since they released their full length album, and I still listen to it on an almost daily basis.

If you haven't heard these yet, where have you been? Seriously, give them a listen! I can't wait for the next album.

View from a throne.

This is my first post folks. Welcome to my throne. Let the general musing commence. This is the view i see in the afternoon sat upon my balcony. Picture quality is not the best due to being taken with a camera phone.

I like it though.
